Grooming Tools to Consider

Link
Dematting grooming rake by JW Pet Company. This should be particularly helpful to pull out mats – although during the first 4 years of JayDee’s life, I never had an occasion to use it. It therefore sits on the shelf in reserve.

Pin grooming brush, large by JW Pet Company. Supposedly, this is particularly good for brushing out the leg feathers. The small balls on the ends of the pins make it very difficult to clean the dead hair out of this device and I found that I did not use this much, if at all. Perhaps for those handlers who are competing in the show ring, this brush is required.

Evolution Self Cleaning slicker brush by Coastal Pet Products. This was my mainstay and “go to” grooming device until I bought a Furminator. This particular slicker brush is so easy to clean. A must have!

Ear cleaner by Bio Groom 8 oz. The vet said this was a good product so it must be.
