Freeze dried liver treats, 4 oz by Gimborn. If you purchased only a 1 oz. supply, this product costs $47.20 per pound!!! There isn’t anything I eat, or have ever eaten, that sells for $47.20 per pound. I am not pleased with this purchase at all. The directions say 2 or 3 treats per day for a full grown dog! The treats are quite large and since the experts suggest that treats should be bite sized, about the size of a pea, I tried cutting these down to size – a labor intensive undertaking. After using only a few of these treats, I became so annoyed that I threw the remainder of the package away!

Jones Natural Chews Dog Pig Ears. These were recommended by our breeder, Jenn Craig, and JayDee really loved them. During her first week with us, it would take JayDee two days to polish off one piece. By the second week, she could consume a piece in one sitting! Over the course of time, JayDee would consume a pig’s ear while I watched. Valli Rovenolt, lead trainer at Paws-itively Dog Obedience School calls this type of item “hot” meaning that dogs not only love them, but care has to be taken because pups and full grown dogs can get so possessive of them that they can cause guarding and other undesirable behaviors. Therefore we worked with JayDee to give these up upon request. Soon after JayDee’s permanent dentition was fully erupted, I stopped buying this particular treat.

I purchased the following from local vendors.

5/8” nylon leash small buckle 4’ in red (color coded for easy identification).

5/8” nylon leash small buckle 6’ in black (color coded for easy identification).

5/8” nylon leash small buckle 4’ in blue which I cut down to be only 6” long and can be attached to the collar, virtually all the time and allows for easier accessibility as a “collar grab”.

Archery arrows and Wiffle golf balls to serve as target sticks

Flexi-leash 40 lbs test. This was advised by our breeder for potty runs. I did use it once for a potty run and found it to be totally counter productive. I found that either a 6 foot standard or 4 foot leash to be more than adequate.
